Blog Post #19: THE TOP THREE: Two-Page Feature Story

Hello & welcome back to part three!

Today I'll be going over the two- page feature story of my top three magazines.

Essence is always shedding light upon African American women & in this two-page feature story, Megan Thee Stallion is seen in a prestige, elegant setting. She talks about protecting her space, new album & the importance of having balance in life. The Grammy winner speaks on how she became who she is today & having the confidence to truly be herself. Also, Megan is a soon to be graduate from Texas Southern University & accomplished it all whilst chasing her dreams. Overall, her story is amazing because she's showing that African American women don't have to necessarily gravitate to one category & they can do it all.

Unfortunately, since the Cindy Crawford Vogue magazine was debuted in the 80's, I was unable to get a digital copy. However, I used the Vogue two- page feature story about Zendaya Coleman. She is seen with a serious expression in both photographs. In the first image, she has on a silk like dress with a gold chain belt & a sitting pose in a desert setting. In the second image, she has a puff shoulder, bodycon dress with a mesh sweetheart neckline. Also, she talks about transitioning in her acting career & stepping into her own. Zendaya started her career on Disney Channel as Rocky Blue on 'Shake it up' & is now starring in HBO's Euphoria as Rue Bennett. Although she has built a fan base with a younger audience, Zendaya hopes to move in a different direction when it comes to her acting career. She hopes to put Disney Channel behind her & further her career in film & television.

In this Teen Vogue two page feature story, Fernanda Ly is photographed in an outdoor city setting. The Australian model opens up about her sudden rise to fame & becoming a social media model without millions of followers. Also, this two page feature discusses how unique Fernanda is & how this was one of the many factors of her being in the position that she is today. Fernanda doesn't let her social status cloud her modesty & she highlights that with modeling she's having fun & enjoying it while she can.

Thank you for tuning in, see you in the next blog!
