 Welcome back! My name is Felixia Francis & I’ll be answering compulsory question two. This is for my AICE Media studies Cambridge AS level course. 

  

Compulsory question 2 asks “How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?"




The target audience for my magazine are African American females between the ages of 16-30 plus. It appeals to my audience because it pertains to fashion & how it is represented in the black community. This also shows how my magazine follows the standards of Essence & Vogue combined. Although my magazine is curated for a specific race & gender, it can be viewed by anyone. From seasonal styling to fashion do’s & don’ts, Girly co. has the qualities of a fashion magazine. 




As far as distribution, this magazine will be distributed on the shelves of bookstores, grocery lines and local stores. It’ll also include online streaming services. With viewing online, it will be available on platforms such as Amazon, iBook, Barnes and Nobles and on the official website for Girly Co. The magazine will follow a schedule of 6 published issues a year. Social media platforms such as: Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat & Tik Tok, will be used to advertise the magazine to increase its presence.
